Living Ghost

It seemed so simple

those words that you spoke

telling me you would return

you would come back.

I believed you.

I waited.

I waited an eon

marking every day

the rise and fall of the gentle tide

wishing upon each star I could find

to no avail.

You disappeared

becoming a living ghost

haunting the halls of my heart.

I am a single hard working mom in her 40's. I have always written poetry and I love words. I live with depression and its ups downs. This is a space where I can create and write all that I need to.
