Bastard……

He struts and prances

selling his wares

a snake oil salesman

with charm oozing from his hair.

Warm and pleasant

he will remember your name

your wives names (if you have more than one)

your children’s names (and who they belong to)

and even the family dog’s name.

He will take you for a walk

he will tell you what you need

by the end of the day

you will hand over the deed.

Flabbergasted

I watch him wheel and deal

and wonder how it is

that no one can see

the venomous viper

writhing beneath his skin.

  1. I love your poem on Flabbergasted! Especially the snake oil salesman reference! Mine is along the same track. As soon as I said the word it all came gushing out!

      1. Hi Jay-lyn
Can I ask you if you’ve seen mine yet? I linked the word to the site and have the pingbacks activated but I’m not sure I’ve done it correctly. On WP I used to copy and paste and it went to the right place !

          1. What did you copy and paste for it to show up in that page? Sorry to be a pain…I’m still new and trying to wrap my arms around it all 😟

            1. Not at all. You would do the whole The wonderful and wacky yadda yadda lol or my name and than copy the url I think it is called in the top bar and than on your page go to either the Blog name or mine whichever you use and paste. That should work. I hope. 😉I am not great at explaining sorry
