Fairy Tale

Luckless

drifting along

dreams lost

unsettled

broken.

So many times

life intervenes

choices are made…..

I cannot perceive

the path that must be followed

bringing me here.

Crossroads appearing

undecided.

Left or right?

North or south?

I spin

eyes blinded

dizzy

stop

see where my finger points.

Left

haloed in sunlight

aroma of lilacs

happiness flits by.

Left

leading me to you

my footsteps

dancing in delight.

Moving forward

a smile upon my lips

I realize all at once

serendipity

has played a part

in bringing us together.
