Clown of all Time

It began innocently enough
all thought it was a game
there is no way
voters are too smart
they would not believe that creep anyway.
Commercials abound
tearing down
eroding the very foundation
on which they stood upon.
Clamoring for war
upon silent victims
snarling at the damage done
by enemies real and imagined
until
suddenly everyone
who disagrees
is now an enemy of the state.
he became the face of a nation
which was torn down
rent apart
remade into a haven for some
whilst becoming a nightmare
for the rest of the populace.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

  1. That picture is terrifying! Then again, so is what’s going on in today’s world so it’s the perfect illustration. “It began innocently enough / all thought it was a game / there is no way / voters are too smart” — Hopefully the voters have woken up this time around.
