Today’s world moves too fast
minutes that pass as seconds
hours and days that pass in a single blink
that everyone has forgotten…..
the joy of slowing down
the elation at seeing the sun rise
the aroma of freshly blossomed buds
wet dew dampening toes
in the summer morning.
Waves watched
sand castles built
setting sun
turning the water
a golden hue
children taking a final swim
before the day is done.
enjoyment
fun in the sun
I do believe
it is time to slow down
to take part
in the joy of the life around me.
