Plain Jane 2-Return to Cell

**Continuation of Pretty Colors 1 & 2
Inky black
silken
binding my arms
my legs.
Slowly consciousness
returns
waking me from my fugue.
I remember
the cell door opening
of its own accord.
I danced without
under the moonlight
while making my escape.
So how?
How is it I am back here?
Locked within the cell
drugged
groggy
feeling like hell?
I am strapped to the bed
no way to turn
head bound
kept stationary
all a ploy to drive me insane.
I know the truth though
they are afraid
Badass Jane
she will return.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
