Dream of Me

no longer falling.
flowing like lava
I scare you.
Maybe someone should.
Cocky are you
believing all should bow
take hold of your robe
carry forth the crown.
Fattened calf
lead to the altar.
Mistakes made
gritted teeth
sighing breath.
not of the three
only of self.
Curling in
will not show
how much I hurt.
Standing on the abyss
ready to jump.
Currents rise
diving in
watching from above
as ravens tear into you.
Your form.
Your lies.
Your ego.
made to pay.
I am not a simple girl.
I am a woman
never again
to fall to my knees…..
docile & powerless.
Worth I know
forgotten for a bit
screw you dude
too bad
I am that bad bitch.
The one
who haunts your dreams at night.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

      1. Not picking on you! Just wanted to clarify that! But it hurts to read some of this because I feel the pain, shame, confusion, the brokenness, these feelings are real! And it’s like you’re watching something right in front of you and there’s nothing you can do…

      2. I feel them pretty well! Sometimes I have to ease into reading them because of it.

No offense! Your best work are your love poems! These light up a night sky like a full moon! Awesome stuff! But I know that with the good also there’s the bad. The pain sucks!
