Untitled Poem #12

I look back
fondly at times
angry at others
on memories I have of you.
From the day we met
to the last one
where you lost
the best thing
the best person
to have ever entered your life.
Pain radiates
filling the gaps left behind
our family destroyed
children left mewling
at mother’s breast
while you just…..
went.
Divorce is never easy
ours so acrimonious
vile words
accusations on both sides
bleeding tears
aggression
finally to being done.
I watched you walk away
a sharp wrench
heart breaking
you never looked back once.

I am a single hard working mom in her 40's. I have always written poetry and I love words. I live with depression and its ups downs. This is a space where I can create and write all that I need to.
