Phoenix

Prancing
dancing
light on my toes
shadows my friends
as I blend
bleed
face on front
wanting to play.
Games
bitter
harsh
testing strength
heart
mind
soul
who will win?
You
or
I?
Words
batter
shatter
control…..
moods
thoughts
desires…..
Your entire world
which I will shatter
destroy
cause to combust
with impish delight.
Make you pay
yes I will
for obliterating my world.
Tit for tat
and all that
tis only fair
no?
Ravaging
bodies etched with scars
come together
in battle we will
but only one will return…..
free.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
