Mesmerized
I watch
men
women
gliding by
dancing nightly
whimpering
daring to want
daring to desire
a life such as passes afore me.
Gilded cage
plated gold
iron rusts
rots
falls away
as my hand presses
reaching out
reaching through
who will pull me out?
Palm pressed to silvered pane
beckoning
promising
a better world
a better life
if only someone would help me.
Subtle
barest
merest whisper
brush over ears
seeking the compliant one.
Moving through the crowd
gliding
watching
reaching towards the mirror
sure I had seen…..
Grasp your arm
pull you through
out I go
none shall know
I am a mirror copy of thee.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
