Lonely Girl

silky smooth water
crystal clear
I wade through
lost in my thoughts
my wonderings
head so far in the clouds
many wonder
are my feet on the ground?
I am a lonely girl
building sand castles
from fluffy white clouds
when all I want
all I need…..
once words I spoke aloud
with meaning
now are dead
tripping from my tongue
venom to the soul.
I am a lonely girl
building sand castles
with moats
with gates
along the sea shore
when all I want
all I need…..
I will move through
face the pain
give grief its home
yearning for absolution
ability to forgive myself.
I am a lonely girl
building fantasies
holding my heart captive
when all I want
all I need……
I use to think was you.

      1. Jay, I know you like dark stuff and all that, but love is where you shine! Whether it be the spring or winter of love, you get your heart’s point through clearly!

      2. I don’t want you thinking that just because I have a wife that everything in the world worked out for me. You’re talking to a guy that has some stories. I lost way too much time, money and brain cells over women. And there’s a lot I still think about because I just don’t understand how someone functions the way some of them did.

But I never lost my faith in love.

      3. Most all my stuff is loveish stuff. I don’t mind it. I try to dig as deep into it as I can and see just how deep I can be about it.

      4. Here’s the thing, Poetry is like trying to touch someone verbally but still feel it physically. There’s a lot of perimeters to it.

The poetry I post is to make people think and also feel. I try hard to with my “special poetry” to evoke feelings in my wife. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. But nevertheless, I keep trying.
