Rumination

Sat above the world
staring at the streets below
wondering
who drives
who walks
who talks
who thinks about the world around
more than their own existence?
Time has come
there is no miracle to be found
there is no magic wand
there is no mystical chant
that is going to erase
eradicate
the damage that has been done
upon the psyche of the earth.
Species doomed
wiped out
men who still hunt
who still murder
endangered animals
to appease the greed of those
who believe
as idiots do
that there is something that will make them better
that will make them stronger
make them more virile
when in reality
they are a nightmare wrapped in luscious silken robes.
Garbage
floating in our oceans
our seas
found in the bellies of beached whales
war may be fought over a garbage mound
when will it all be caught?
Sat upon the world on high
tears fall
rain upon the heads of those below
bewildered as the night is clear
the stars agleam
while I sit
lost in sorrow
in regret
for there shall be no mistaking
the death of the world as it is known.
Replaced with…..
crime
hatred
bigotry…..
liars
who with subtle manners
will tear this world apart
dooming it
dooming mankind
to certain death.

      1. (Don’t hate me!) There’s a reason. We believe in man. People have too much trust and faith in presidents and politicians and such. Because of this, things have progressively degraded. And will continue to until everything is decimated and the only place we can look is up. To the One we should have been trusting and following all along.

        1. You and me will always have a difference of opinion there. We think that presidents and politicians are the smart ones who care. They don’t and the biggest lie ever swallowed was they no longer need to be held accountable. We are their bosses not the other way around. Unfortunately too many have forgotten this. So there are clashes. Coups. Yes that is how I view the world. When priests are protected by the church for destroying children or making money hand over fist and not paying taxes on it. To lie with impunity believing that the ‘lower class’ are too stupid to even realize. There is too much willing blindness in the world today.

          1. I agree with everything you just said. And I cautiously call myself a Christian. We’ve allowed the corruption. One, because we’ve stopped caring because it doesn’t directly affect us and two, people buy into the corruption. Three, we don’t view the threat as imminent.

            1. Exactly. I was born and raised a Catholic. I am what I believe they call a non-practicing. I have my beliefs which are mine and mine alone. I own them and although organized religion is all over my workplace I bite my tongue and ignore these so called Christians. I watch daily as they preach one thing and practice another. It sickens me.

                    19. Nope I’m John. In my 40’s. Not a bad guy.. could be better.. I like coffee, woods and plus size women. Long walks to the keurig…
