On Repeat

It is so hard
determining truth from lies
reality from fantasy
for people no longer want to be
themselves.
Fearing repercussions
for being authentic
for caring
for loving
for standing up for rights
for life
hide behind false words
be complacent in the fate of the world.
We see
we hear
we know
this is not how life is.
Kowtowing to an upper class
that exists only through duplicity
through cheating
through selfish desires
while the rest struggle
for food
for unity
for basic needs.
Smoking debris
shock value
rabble rousing
protect the elite
chorus of voices raised
echoes of a past
repeating over and over again.
Watch carefully
let’s play a new game.
Are you ready?
Spot the Phony.
Can you see?
He is one…..
She is one…..

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

  1. The anger here is something I feel too and I share that emotion of having to put up with mistreatment of the poor and needy just because others are greedy. Good for you, shout out loud 🙂 🙂 🙂
