Unexpected Love

Golden days
moonlit nights
summer breeze
as we lay
side by side on the sand
gazing up at the plethora of stars
wishing as comets streak the sky.
Your hand lays next to mine
our fingers barely touching
there is a contentment
a silent acceptance
coming together
sharing our thoughts
our smiles
our laughter
slowly learning about one another
as waves lap at our feet.
Hold me in your arms
keep the dragon at bay
whisper in my ear
that you have me
that you really do care.
What began as friendship
has evolved
slowly becoming a joining
two minds
two hearts
two souls
slow  burning love
that neither expected.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
