The One

Silken wrap
touching bare skin
lean forward
check light pink shade
dazzling eyes
subtle scent.
Smoky sandalwood
undertones of lavender
calming
steady the hand
the nerves.
Gliding down the staircase
cushioned on air
feet never touching the ground
it looks that way from here.
Tiara blazing
diamonds glare
bow your head
glittering smile
curtsy without fall
you can see the heat rise
tangible to the touch.
Glide around the room
flute of champagne in hand
smile
seductive
hooded eyes
intel is taken.
Seductive spy
sensual in play
used as a barbie doll
armed with a weapon
so deadly.
Stand over the body
gun out
silenced the traitor
silent tear slips down painted cheek.
Sweet
silly
he could have been the one
if only
he had stilled his tongue.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
