Word of the Day Challenge #62-Untitled Poem

Man

let loose

corrupts a world

forsaking everything

to gain…..

and that there 

is the million dollar question.

War

guns

drugs

created to keep down the masses

to produce children of violence

who in turn indoctrines others

to maintain their place in history.

Voices raised in protest

silenced quickly

shouted down by ignorant men

or turn up dead

their words

their work

its disappearance

remains a mystery.

There are those

who would have

all beneath them

be obedient 

to take what is given to them

to hell with what else they need.

There are those who have done nothing for this world

other than to take

and take some more.

Death is coming

he cares not for privilege

in the end he brings them down

and all become equal once more.
