Word of the Day Challenge #70-Untitled Poem

Diaphanous
elegant
beauty
eyes roving
placing
erasing
measuring
your sins
all sins
on display
waiting to be counted
waiting to be accounted.
Tick tock
tock tick
all eyes turn fearfully to the clock.
Stiletto heels
leather skirt
turning heads in lust
rarely in fear
until I come near
making you kneel before.
Finger beneath your chin
look up at me
time has come my lovely
to tell me in true
(know
I know how it all plays out
lying would be
while fun for me
rather painful for you
so let us skip that one)
Your voice
my eyes
your tears
my justice.
Darling you thought it was a lie
you thought you could run
you thought you could hide
now you understand
there is no escaping me
Karma is my name.
Karma is my game.
Karma……
pretty to look at
smarty pants too
here I come
better run
you are still going to pay.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
