Smoke and mirrors
put on the false face
painted on smile
clown like grimace.
Peach colored hair
swept up high
cinch up the waist line
so you will not be compared
with your fantasies
elephantine in size
to a whale
who ignores all reality.
Mincing steps.
Hold out your arms
perfect balance gained
by those who act as misguided path
bent under your feet
never allowing you to see the folly
desperation frothing
their eyes give ‘way their fear.
Words pulled
vicious truths
covered with chocolate dung
melting on liver tongue
while most look on in horror
in consternation
brows creased
who the hell are you?
blowing kisses
as if that would make you more…..
oh wow are you vain!
The populace looks onward
eyes numb to the horrors
morals of times passed
cut to the quick
by a snake oil charmsman.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
