Final Exam

Liquid shadow
oozing over
under
sidling through crowd
eyes upon the mark
knowing
there is danger here.
There is a conscious
hidden
eyes seeing
what others wished would not
watching
calculating
remembering
on this list
one does not want
to find
names of familial knowledge.
Crimson lips crease
pursed in wicked smile
coming here
going there
soon
he will call forth
to knee shall go
to bed shall end
hooded eyes
no longer seeing lies
seeing…..
ending a life
with sliced throat
gouged eyes
nary a sound be heard.
‘Tis the opinion
of learned council
an assassin is bred
given silver sword
to right so many wrongs.

      1. Us, who love to write. Need to read. I been listening to the classics on YouTube. The book “Dorian gray.” and “A moveable feast” make me create many poems. You are welcome dear Jay-lyn.
