Weeping Willow

I cannot
strength is gone
laughter is done
spotlight is out
fading to darkness
life
liberty
justice
it has all been stolen.
Watching
weeping
denial no more
for seeing atrocities
committed
own back yard
it is time
blinders must be peeled.
Heartbreak
children wail
fires roar
anger
reaches over
boiling
reeling
no longer can be contained.
Voices raised
united
roaring displeasure
those few who try to rip asunder.
Black days are coming
no way to stop the horde
oppression
foot on the neck
thy time…..
is done.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

    1. It is more anger and frustration for the situation and the abuse of power that is seen over and over again without any change. It must happen now or it will become a powder keg one match off of blowing. 🙂
