Word of the Day Challenge #106-Untitled Poem

***Please note that this is not how I am feeling. This is purely a creative work***
Battering
wild
winds of torment
piercing
whistle through cracks
found
deep in soul
lost
wretched
bleeding
I am so alone.
Desolate
barren landscape traversed
bloody footprints
embedded slivers
tearing
driven deeper
harder
filling self with bile
hatred
doubt
reaching out
nothing there
to offer me a safety net.
Heart cleaved
demons erupting
blackness
sinking into cold oblivion
aware
subtle flicker
hand reaching
grasping
pulling forth
rebirth
despair to delight
recover from blight
dreams to be made
a simple paradise.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
