Dark Ages

Justify
lies
tales
wrung so far from truth
head cocked
watching sweat drip
makeup bleed
all over collared shirt
slowly
world begins collapsing
look around
falling fast
minions with blind trust
lack of morals
found in the bedroom
of rich men
promising
reassurance
everyone still loves
greed is everything
stupidity the new law
get in line
he will let you lick his toe
to keep you complacent
keep you addicted
deadly accident
cannot look away
stunned
behaviour such as this
arrogant ignorance
baby bully
bruising basher
myopic minstrations
fitting for Middle Age despot
not 21st century politics.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
