Father of Transgression

Desolate
melancholic
mournful
tolling
grey waters
pierced
bell rings
striking metal
roiling
seas rise
tides flood
no longer receding
turning ever inward
encroaching
mankind
driven
back
ever back
plots of tiny land
all around
water comes
creatures
long forgotten
rearing
myths alive
death
constant
if caught out
alone
unaware
hunter
now
hunted
time
time
time
time
and again
shaking heads
reminded you were
of folly
of cultivating wealth
over repairing damage
past reparations
made
for sins of your father
destroying our world.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

    1. Thank you. Sometimes it takes me longer to find the picture as I always have something specific I want. Image in mind. For most part I am incredibly lucky in finding pictures and images that are exactly what I am going for. 🤓💜
