Discovered part of my feeling off last week was due to not having my magnessium.
I take 1000 mg of high potency half hour before bed and sleep.
Last week I did not have. I had the regular 250 mg which does nothing to help.
I was up and down.
Sleep disruption leads to groggy feeling.
Leads to abrupt answers and general churliness.
Since receiving the pills last Thursday and beginning to once more take before bed……..
By yesterday morning I was back to normal Jay behaviour.
Happy.
Upbeat.
Alarm went off at 4:45 and I was awake ready to go.
Loki is a great little alarm clock.
He comes climbing over my shoulder and like a silky eel slithers over my shoulder and curls up (this is all one smooth motion)
under my chin.
Yesterday he was purring to beat the band and two minutes later my actual alarm went off.
Loki bit my nose.
Yes that is right.
Alarm goes off…..Huntin Fishin no one could sleep through that.
Loki starts and bites my nose.
Hard.
It was bleeding.
So I bit his ear.
No hard.
He did not even notice.
How do I know?
Because last night he was once more attempting to bite my chin and nose.
So lesson learned…..biting a kitten like you would a small biting child doe not work.
Loki is also a great destroyer.
Tember is taking to calling him a Demon.
Yesterday morning a great task was undertaken by the smallest in the household…..conquering Mount Tember and accessing the curtains to pull oneself up to the window sill.
Which being as light as he is should be no problem.
Until he gets to the window sill.
Where there are candles. (Unlit)
And he becomes a bull in a china shop.
I heard Tember mutter and called out what is going on in there?
Heard nothing. I thought he was muttering in his sleep.
I go in at 6 to wake him up for his shower.
He tells me that Loki knocked the jar candle over onto his face.
His eye hurts.
He is getting a headache.
Wah wah wah wah
I am telling him I am not arguing.
Get up now and get in the shower.
I am done doing this.
Then I realize he is crying.
I tell him that once he showers I will look at his eye.
He comes out and wants to know why he has to shower first.
I turn and omg…..I can see the bruise forming already.
He is crying because it hurts.
Me? I am the wicked witch who is ignoring his pain.
I said at least he did not fall on a bowling ball and give himself a black eye.
That go a raised eyebrow.
Or gouge out his cheek because he ran with sticks in his mouth.
That really go me a look.
Apparently I never told him that it was dangerous to run around with sharp objects in his mouth.
He never did.
I was told not to.
I did.
He giggled when I told him about nipping Loki’s ear.
I went to hug him.
He wanted to put his head on my shoulder.
He had to bend a bit.
Which made me cry.
This is literally the last time I will be able to give him a little boy hug.
The type where I can gather him into my arms with his head on my shoulder as he cries.
Doing it again as I type this up.
Not sure that I am ready for that.
I know that it is all a part of life but I am not ready for it yet.
I guess there is no real good time to be ready for it.
I ended up having to pick him up on my half hour lunch.
His eye was bothering him.
His headache was worse.
He spent the afternoon resting.
By the time I got home just after 3:30 he was better.
Waiting for me.
Watching out the window.
Wanting to know why it took me 42 minutes to get home from work when it is only a 7 minute drive?
First was not off until 3:30 and secondly I went and grabbed a cold ginger ale from Co-op.
That was okay then.
All candles have now been removed from the window sill.
Headache is gone.
Eye is not going to bruise as badly as I feared.
And he is still my little boy no matter how big he gets.
Who thinks that it is hilarious that he can now lift his mother off her feet.
Taser anyone?
I was in the lobby yesterday.
Cart duty.
Which I love.
However getting everything out can be a mouthful.
Which lead to me saying this to one customer:
Sanitized carts are along the left wall.
(what I was to say next)
Hand sanitizer is on the table with the baskets.
(what came out)
And hand tasers are on the table next to the baskets.
Thank goodness for masks.
I don’t think my customer heard me.
Could you imagine that complaint?
Have a wonderful Wednesday all.
