Final Take

It comes
encroaching
moving faster
roaring
devouring
acres
forest
lives
no one is protected
no one matters
all for one
one for all
a thing of the past.
Disheartened
weary
strangled
brought to knees
promised warrior
a millennium
walking
waking
destruction
war
sin
all rolled over
there is nothing
left to see.
A challenge
not uttered
taken
more to come
more harm
more destruction
vile men
tasked with protection
raping.
Watching
caravan after caravan
flee
safety
somewhere
out there
hope is held.
Turn
one last time
tired
so tired
last stand
last bastion
Last Warrior
for this life.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
