Imprisoned Assassin

A darkness
an illness
resides
deep inside
(little girl
robbed
innocence
lip curled in disdain)
creeping
peeking
from eyes
vacant
drugged
fear for self
were I to break free.
Rocking in the corner
tears
shed
false
come a little closer
one more inch.
I shall snap
teeth missing
jump back.
Sly smile
rocks these lips
curtained hair
I am a mystery
I am a delight
I am a little secret
a graven tonic.
(Giggles
piercing
shrill
crescendo
little girl
jagged will)
One time
too many
warned I did
words
fists
screams
heeded not
knowing better
thought you were bigger
thought you were stronger.
Strength is nothing
brought to knees
feral
blood founts
bathing me
swirling
watching
life slowly fade.
(little girl
happy at last
justice done
jailed no more
freedom fast)
