Winter’s Delight

Light
snowflakes
tumble through air
lazy
lilting
never one to wander
in brutal winter’s frost
yet
romance
dances in the air.
Scented wood
crisp
coyly
I glance at you
you smile at me
hold out your hand
take mine
pull me close
hand upon hip
smile
eyes lingering
on pouting lips.
Come in closer
soft sigh
as finally we kiss.
Hunger
burns
fingers tighten
moans
soft
tips of tongues
giggle
as you kiss tip of my nose.
Drawing close
beneath your arm
seeking warmth
as hair is tucked
smile upon my lips
grin on yours
we quickly walk back
wanting to get home.
Fire built
lights dimmed
crackle
pop
eyes shine
breath inhaled
your hand
caress
gentle curve of chin
fingers trail
through hair
as I whimper.
Throughout the night
passions found
spent
reignited
until
sated
asleep I fall
held in your arms
one night
to last a life.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
