Indignant Failure

Glassy eyed
malevolent prophesy
deep in fantasy
gripped by insanity
bellowing for anarchy
ceaselessly on fire’s blaze
a deadly fuse.
Call to arms
desperate to retain
political reverence
voices raised
fingers pointed
marking the way
brays blonde ass
bayonets raised
take back
what is rightfully ours.
stone cold
friends no more
quick step back
quick evacuate
two meters
no longer enough
to escape
stench of failure
death suit
plot you do
little old man
time has come
for you run
hoping there shall be…..
no betrayal.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

      1. You did, you surpassed yourself… your poems just get better and better, the imagery you give your reader is sometimes so precise and accurate in every detail it’s almost painful to view it. This poem had me ‘seeing’ every image you conjured up, clearly, concisely and relentlessly. Wonderful! 🀩🀩🀩

          1. I know, I know, I’m a lost cause with technology! I had a big desk clean up the other day and threw a load of different chargers in a bag out of the way. Guess who can’t remember where she put the damn bag? Laptop is dying, iPad is dying, phone is dead so thank goodness for my good old desktop PC! at least that never needs recharging! πŸ˜› xx
