The Revenant Awakens

Thought
safe you were
even
with dreaded fear
hear
wolves howling
baying
broken moon
mist
floating low
eyes
feral glow
staring
shivering
weep
tears of urine
down your leg
stands before you
her eyes
dead
her hands
hooked
her neck
broken
grinning
deranged
haunting your dreams.
Waken
shivering
listen to creaking door
ice cold
wind sweeps
through window
just closed.
Peek
tented blanket
seeking protection
see not the haunt
stood above you
feel only
slimed finger
down nape of neck
fetid breath…..
caress alcohol veined cheek
clackety clack
skeletal fingers
grip
breath caught…..
giggles of a little girl
whispers.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
