Emmie Untitled Poem #2

Nightmares
drug fueled
little space
curled
fetal position
tears
pillow soaked
jerk awake
own screams reverberating
off the walls.
Spacy
glazed eyes gaze
see above
arms tied
ankles bound
above
stood the man
crooning
loving words
bile
rising
sees
drop of semen
hears
‘that’s right babygirl lap it up’
rattled roar
foolish man
thought he could control.
Through rage
through need
bounds ripped
teeth sink
fist lands
jaw locked
she will not let go
warned she did of this
no one would listen
she had to protect her….
Found
lead away
catatonic in her gaze
no one will know
none shall tell
one more man
fell to lust
to mischief
one more man
who thought
he could own her.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

    1. Thank you. Yesterday”a poem actually falls after this one but Emmellia has been slow in coming so I am writing out of order. She has a story to tell and while poetry is my forte I think these little snippets are part of larger story. 🤓💜
