Endless Time

Hard
no explanation
no words
encompass
emotions fled
tears fall
voiceless
mouth moves
no one
never anyone
hears
caught up
caught behind
false life
pretending glories
mirrored falsities
one upon another
building
lives further
further from truth
further from sanity
further from…..
very
very
sad.
Wrapped
wet linens of melancholy
trapped
burgeoning fears
standing on the lip
bizarre mirage
flickering in the future
never
to be found…..
oasis lost.
Sad
truly
truly
sad.
Wade the depths
sink slowly
beneath
blue waves
float
graceless
eyes wide
tears gather
stars wonder
last breath
time to say good bye
for this sad
it has climbed within
unable to find succor
I want it all to end.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

  1. On your page I can’t comment on the individual poems so I’m going to do it all in one here.
Emmie is a fascinating character, neither woman nor child nor something in between, she is a broken entity filled with rage and revenge and broken images, promises and truths.
The whole collection left me feeling unutterably sad for her, silenced as she is, trapped as she is, in the past with her demons and still more demons become added as abuse continues unabated. A lot of the poems were triggers for me, but as a whole, I had to carry on and read the next instalment and then the next and so on… Fine storytelling Jay, I hope she tells you more and we get to see her come out of her shell and become the victor. Loved the series so far Sis ❤❤❤
