They All Know

Mouths moving
raised in condolences
shouting in ire;
shoulder to shoulder
you want to walk.
Faces pointed
wipe away the tear
denounce the evil
that this is in part your fault;
does it lay uneasy in your heart
can you not even see it?
Your hypocrisy
bright colors
swathes against the grey sky
could have…..
changed the tide
could have…..
stayed the charge;
tides are changing
waters receding
ugliness bubbling through…..
I see you
I hear you
these platitudes
not the words chosen
when down the party line you voted
in posterity
when you thought no one would know.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
