Forgiveness is Not ours To Give

Vast space
surround me;
crystalline blue
dotted white
able to hold a baby
while an adult does plunge
straight through
right down to the other side.
scorched earth
scarred with brutal past
history taken
in the face of only one.
I lay
ear pressed
muted cries
for rest
for justice
for home once more.
beneath cheek
green blooms
giggles heard
gentle caress…..
‘Finally we can rest.’

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

    1. Thank you. It is not quite what I see in my mind’s eye but the words are there. I am so saddened and angered by what is coming out in the papers and while I knew I also did not know… words give voice I hope to those who cannot speak for themselves. These are their stories.
