Is it a Wonder….

There is no winning for losing.

Came across a post that blathered on about how everything we own is not made in Canada/US and jobs cannot be found.

Yet when we begin to make these products at home the prices go up and people bitch about that.

Choices are:

A) Send production overseas to save on cost to the public.

B) Shop locally made/produced items and pay a little more.

The choice is yours.

      1. 😱 thought you worked in a grocery store….IrnBru “Scotlands other national drink” an orange coloured sparkling soft drink that is faaaaar tastier than any of the black gunk that’s popular in most other countries….was available in some stores in BC and Alberta when I was over in 2015 😋

  1. I agree with you on this. We have no-one but ourselves to blame. This is a result of our excessive consumption and desire for more, and cheaper, products. I gladly pay more for a quality, locally-made, product but they aren’t always available.

Last fall, we replaced our 27-year-old stove. A couple of weeks after that, we had to replace our 10 year old washer. The salesperson who sold us our new washer told us we were very lucky to get 10 years. I bet we’ll be lucky to get 10 years out of either of the new ones. It’s so frustrating.

    1. I absolutely agree. I do my best to buy local but it is so hard in Steinbach. It is hard period as more and more local businesses close their doors as corporations continue to rake in millions of dollars. Unfortunately like you pointed out people want more for less and quality is fast becoming a thing of the past.
