I Am Done!

This is insane. We are a city of 20000+ and this woman makes these asinine demands. She also created two protests, petition and demands the school board resign if not accepted.

She also threatened parents will pull their children from schools, teachers will quit or go on leave, substitutes will not be found. Children in school system will fail.

By all means pull those kids from school. I don’t need them around my son.

Quit because you don’t want to wear a mask? Where are you going to work now?

Go on stress leave over a mask? Doctors are savvy just saying. As are insurance companies. When I was on leave I had to see my doctor bi-weekly to monitor and see when I could resume going back to work. No substitutes? I will volunteer. And I am sure there are others who would do so as well.

4000 parents and children protested. Now kids can’t really protest when they are 5-10 year age range unless truly into a cause. I know kids that age who kick ass but vast majority are still thinking and feeling as their parents tell them to.

Such a small portion of the population making life miserable for the rest of us in our community. Do they think we all want to run around masked? I would love to run out quickly to grab groceries or something from Coop next door without first putting my contacts in.

Maybe they would like to have a hot flash while wearing a mask.

I met with T’s teacher Tuesday and same as before. Masks are required in class unless proper social distancing can be maintained. Gym and recess masks obviously can be removed.

So two hours at most between breaks. I wear mine for 8 hours a day. Sometimes longer if I also have errands to run. Surgeons wear masks for hours on end yet not one of them complains.

This is selfishness pure and simple. Grow up. Do not make demands that the school board can do nothing about because it is a public health mandate. But those who are so superior think that make demands snap my fingers and get it done.

I am beginning to find it harder and harder to keep my mouth shut. There maybe a day soon folks where I end up on the front page of our local paper as the woman who fought back.

          1. They already do. And think liberals are snowflakes? That’s hilarious. Get your panties out of wad, take your thumbs out of your mouths, and try to maybe resemble an actual responsible adult. They’re pathetic. They really think they’re tough guys, but in reality they nothing more selfish fucks whom deserve to not only catch the virus but become super ill from it. If karma is real, which I believe it is, that’s very well what may happen. Then just give them all the horse de-wormer and end it. Don’t give 2 shits about them. Die, dumbasses. Finally, they’d be doing their part to better the world.

  1. Who in their right mind would deliberately, willfully, and ignorantly endanger their child’s life? Clearly it is this person. The mask mandate is there for a reason, to protect your child and everyone else. Perhaps she would like a view inside our ICU to watch an intubation take place; they paralyze you and then shove a tube down your throat. Once intubated for Covid, the odds are not good. Just wear your fucking mask.

  2. It’s easy to get frustrated. This pandemic has not been easy on anyone but millionaire’s and billionaires. Please try to remember these are just people. Don’t take it personal. They are just doing the best they know how.

We need to figure out how to get through this the best way possible for everyone. There will always be dissenters, about EVERYTHING. It’s easy to hate them because some really seem to go out of their way to be disruptive. Maybe because they’re opinions being against mainstream are often made fun of and disregarded.

Try to have patience and compassion for our fallible human nature.

    1. It is not dissenters I mind. I mind bullying behaviour. I mind someone else attempting to make decisions that could impact my child’s well being. I mind being yelled at because I follow the law. I mind people swearing at cashiers I work with. I have spent the last 18 months or more being kind to these people. Now though this is enough. One of my co-workers is so anxious filled and nervous serving a regular customer who rants and raves. Swearing and causing disruption. Now she is held to a higher standard given her position. I maybe held to a different standard but I will not tolerate anyone dishing out abuse to my co-workers.
My ability to be kind to these people has worn thin. I no longer will put up with it.

      1. Ok. But letting yourself get angry affects not just your health and stress level but it also leaves you almost incapable of extending any compassion whatsoever. Is this who you want to be? It’s not about them. It’s about you.

        1. I am not angry at all. Frustrated yes. Angry no. I don’t allow people to anger me any longer. But smh for sure. I put anger and rage to the side when I quit pills. I still get annoyed but I always remind myself it is situation. This though are people who act an ass and are holding others hostage.

          1. I wouldn’t argue with most people because I really am not that concerned about how they operate. You do you.

I know you work in customer service and people are at their boiling points struggling with this and they take it out on you: easy target. I get they this woman is causing extreme chaos and potentially endangering others. These situations are not easy.

But how you respond, how you let your heart respond to people is important, please try to not let this harden you. Harden your views about other people.

I’m more worried about how you let this affect your beautiful, caring heart. I suppose we all decided who is exempt from our care and consideration. But fire with fire only destroys the whole town.

I get everyone is at a boiling point. But to extend compassion to even the least deserving is the sign of a truly remarkable person. IMO. But what do I know?

            1. I don’t know Jay. Strange. Undecipherable to me.

Some people I can get a sense of easily. Some people are so intriguing I want to peek inside their head and others seem like they have a crazy fun house going on in there and I find it best to just stay in my own lane. Lol

                1. John? I was talking to the writer of the blog. Don’t be so sensitive. Why would I remember you? How long has it been since we engaged on this platform? At least a year and it was minimal if I remember. No?

                1. It hasn’t actually but I do understand your point. I’d like to expunge Thank you and especially “thank you so much”. People need to be more creative. I go with “appreciate you”
