Saga of Madness

Acid dipped
colors drip
swirling
combing
unfortunate hues
nauseating
to glance upon
despite the crown’s insistence
that all must bow
dip to curtsey
before the play begins.
Gold
bedecks the statue
balanced upon one leg
forever cast in silver
filigree
rose spider web
blooming out
delicate intricacies
shadow licked
even as
tear drops trail
plink
plink.
Gentle patter of rain
upon dusted floor
while the Mad Queen baths
in moon light’s blood
cackling;
bitter crone.
Back away
slithering with secrets
tip toe down the stairs
spiraling
spiraling
spiraling
ever further into the earth.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
