Won’t Touch That

I don’t know about you but sometimes when combining the regular laundry with a fitted sheet leads to clothing disappearing.
I was so pumped a while back when I grabbed out a sheet I had not used in forever and discovered a pair of shorts and tank top.
Fast forward now to a couple of weeks ago when T spilled something on his bed.
Having changed his sheet he tossed it into the laundry with our clothes.
And I proceeded to do the laundry.
Dried everything and tossed the sheet onto T’s bed while folding and putting away my clothes.
Also tossed a few more pieces of clothing into his room on the bed.
I wash and dry it.
He can put his own laundry away.
And if it stays on the floor not my problem.
I am not the one who has to wear it.
T was delighted when he got home and discovered the clean sheet on his bed.
Until he discovered two pairs of underwear and one bra neither of which were his.
He was most disgusted as he threw the offending items on my bed.
I laughed and laughed.
Last night T decided that he was going to wash his sheets again this week.
T: Mom after you do laundry could you please check and make sure that none of your panties or bras are in the corners.
Me: I guess. What is the big deal?
T: I am not touching your panties  or bras!
Me (laughing): I am so going to remember this for your wedding. Tell the whole tale of how not to ask T to do the laundry because he will freak out over having to touch undergarments.
T: Mom!
Me: What? I touch your underwear all the time.
T: That is different mom.
Me: How?? And you do laundry too. You have to touch them to put them in the dryer.
T: No I don’t. I wrap my hand in a shirt and pick them up that way.
I could not even.
I laughed so hard.
T laughed although he does not find this as hilarious as I do.
Oh the stories I will have to tell.
And once more we ended our evening with laughter and love.
