Black clouds
angry snapping winds
howling
urgent screams
riding
slashes of light across grim sky
beneath
waves slam upon shores
rocked
drag in
drag out
falling now
means certain death.
Arms akimbo
head back
rain lashing
pebbled glass
boring into flesh
leaving embedded shards.
Ice envelops
mouth wrenched open
screaming into the night,
into the storm
releasing…..
anguish,
fear,
rage;
summoning strength
drawing power
crackling madness
earth’s desire
released from deep within me.

That was breathtaking! I felt I was gasping for air. I loved this line describing the hard rain:
