Had a customer ask me today how it was not wearing a mask. That I must really be enjoying it. And when I indicated that I had been wearing one all of last week given that I had a cold and did not want to share my germs, his response was that the world was now afraid of the common cold.
I looked at him and reiterated that I was being kind to my fellow c0-workers as well as the customers I come in contact with. He back down after that one.
Then he asked if I had seen the Pfizer report. A report that they were trying to hide for at least 75 years but were being forced to present it now. Something like 1200+ known side effects. Now I am getting annoyed.
I said that I had taken vaccines as a child. And it was no different then having my flu shot as well. Which is when I got lectured onto the fact that this was mrna based and had not been trialed enough on humans.
Now I was annoyed. With a smile I said to him that I was ok with being a guinea pig for this vaccine. He said he figured he would say the same thing were he to be vaccinated.
After he left it dawned on me that I should have commented that all those children who were vaccinated against polio were guinea pigs. But of course it came to me much much later, after he was gone.

I hate when I come up with the perfect comeback ten minutes after the conversation is over. It makes you want to run after the person yelling “oh yeah..and one more thing…”.
The interesting thing is MRNA has been around since the 70s so it isn’t new. People think that because they had never heard of something, it must be new. I suspect there are millions of things in the world I have never heard of, but my ignorance doesn’t make them bad.

I am not sure why he continued speaking when he realized I did not care about what he was saying. Ignorance can be rectified by actually doing research and learning. But where I am at it is more about ranting and raving about rights then valid discourse.

That’s what bugs me about our current situation. Lots of hot air, and very little fact-checking. I have listened and tried to see things from the opposing viewpoint, but then I do my research and come to my own conclusions based on information from credible sources. Yet, the opposing side will tell me I am a sheep doing the government’s bidding. Sigh.

Exactly! When did being kind and not passing on germs to others become frowned upon? And to suggest that I or anyone I know being afraid of a cold is ludicrous. You have your beliefs and I do not mock you for being a dickheaded asshole so shut up about me and mine. I am getting closer and closer to becoming unhinged enough to lose it. However given that my laser eyebeams are not working and I cannot incinerate after losing it I shall continue to mutter under my breath and perfect my I wish you would shut up and have a nice day look.
It is a talent lol

Some people, you just can’t talk to because they live in another planet. Good for you to hold your own and let the idiot eventually wander off. Anything intelligent you wished to add would have been lost on him anyway. What a moron! 😷🤦♀️
