Lucky’s mom was teeny tiny. She never got any bigger than a six month old kitten. Lucky was her only kitten to survive birth and over time she became full sized and Patches looked small, half her size but she was still mom.
I remember her pinning Lucky down so she could lick her ears. They slept together all the time. One winter night Patches woke me up to go outside and she never came home.
A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments.

Wow she is adorable Jay-lyn! I love her! I love the cats and the animals. In my childhood i had several cats in the old family house, especially black! Her eyes are amazing.
Now we have a big dog in the family as a child, dear friend.
Have a nice week.
She’s so adorable 🥰

She is. And I love her even when I am pushing her away for the 1000th time because she loves laying on my chest.

She has a definite look of “you caught me getting into something I shouldn’t have” in this photo.

It was the first time in a while where she does not look startled that I am taking her picture. She sat prettily for it.
