You Can Come Work For Me

Yesterday was a long day of facing. Or rather I spent 8 hours in aisle 6 cleaning up and organizing the shelves that were a disaster. I was also paged a lot throughout the day which disrupts the flow.

I was standing on my stool organizing the top shelf when a dad and his young son, maybe 7-8 were perusing the wild rice. I asked if there was anything I could help with. Dad and I began to go over the wild rice and blends and what was in them.

As we are doing this his son is going along the shelf straightening and pulling the rice forward. He did a kickass job.

His dad thanked me and they headed off.

Me: Any time that you want to come and work with my young man I will definitely hirer you. I appreciate you doing that for me.

He looked at me with a grin and I grinned right back.

Made my day.

  1. Oxymoronic rice?! In a supermarket 😱. Is tame rice available – I prefer my free range eggs to be safe and unattacked whilst in my basket…
