Happy Father’s Day

This is the first time in two years that our big block party called Summer in the City is taking place. Rides. Concerts. Food trucks.

They block off almost all of Main Street. There are barricades in the turn lane and across the intersection and yet people still turned.

The boys, T, his soon to be step-brother M and his best friend J went this afternoon for the rides. They got back to the apartment at 5:30 and off we went to his dad’s. The ex was having a BBQ for Father’s Day.

It was a good time. Until I began eating my burger. I was chewing looking down at it and realized there was a hair. Yep. Beard hair from the ex’s beard.🤢🤢🤢 Not just one but I found two! And to top it off L had picked it out for me. She and I were dying laughing.😂😂😂 It really was. What is the likelihood that the ex-wife gets the one burger out of them all that contains beard hair?

I did not have another burger and when I got home I ate the rest of the Oreos. T will be annoyed. I am a cookie monster. 🥺🥺🥺

I also want to wish all my readers a Happy Father’s Day. I gave the ex a 5L of oil that cannot be used in my car to him as his father’s day gift.

This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom

    1. It was nice. And fun. I will write about the conversation L and I had about how strange people think we all are because we get along. I am glad that I did stay instead of just dropping boys off which has crossed my mind.
