Filling the Trough

Brimstone scented air
sitting
legs dangling over the abyss
face half hidden
within the shadows
as she waits
for Death to arrive.
She has called him here
offering him sacrifice
to feed the charging rage within
to allow her to continue
upon vengeance’s path.
There are still too many
vile
disgusting
child hurters
women rapers
abusers
taunters
bullies
using strength
to hide their petty weakness
if only one were to look a little close.
I will look under the table
see what is hidden beneath the cloth.
I will be the angel of madness
bearing my blade;
falling to my thunder
tumbling to the depths of hell
play time has just begun
here come the demons
the ones you cannot outrun.

A single hard working mom of a soon to be teenage son. A poet and story teller I have wanted to write since I was a child. This space is where I share stories about myself and my life and the creative poetry that stirs my soul. My hope is you will pull up a chair and a cup of coffee delving into the world that I offer and you find simple enjoyment for a few moments. Welcome to The Wonderful & Wacky World of One Single Mom
