Memories

I was sitting here thinking about memories. And how few I have. Whether I have blocked out or they just disappeared I don’t know. I try not to stress about it.

Having said that there are things that someone may say and a full on memory will snap into focus. That is bizarre. Especially when it is on a subject matter so far removed from myself.

I am listening to the ticking of the baseboard as it cools down. Leaving for work so have lowered the temp from 20 down to about 14. In the spring 14 would have windows open and shorts on. Now I am bundled up with sweaters at 14.

I remember as a kid constantly freezing at home. ❄️❄️❄️❄️ Mom kept the temp around 15 or so insisting that that was warm enough. And oh my if I dared to touch that thermostat the world was coming to an end.

To this day her response to my query of why I could not turn up the heat echoes in my ears.

When you are paying the bills you can have the heat as high as you want it.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Weird memory to recall but guess what, I use that line on T regarding the a/c. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🥶🥶🥶
