Headaches

Once upon a time, as a teen, I was often debilitated by headaches.

Horrible ones.

They would start in my neck and slowly creep upwards, pressing against my eyes and feeling like a hand was squeezing the top of my head, with just fingers. No one could figure out what was causing them.

I learned to live with them. If I was at school and got one, I would do my best to move without moving my head. That was fun.

Nothing helped and then they just disappeared.

This morning I woke up with a strange sensation. I was getting a creeping headache. And headaches are not things that I get at all.

I worked until 12:15. My head was throbbing and my eyes were hurting. So I came home.

Curled on the couch, watching Cold Case on Prime. Drifting in and out waiting for the pain to shift.

Fingers crossed this is a one off.
