It’s that time of the week again….well the other of every other week…..My poem (which once more was written expressly for Flyhiee.com) I hope you enjoy and check out the site.
I had the most delightful surprise today. On my lunch I read my WordPress Notifications. I always try to answer any comments as quickly as possible. I also check my spam folder daily so I catch them all.
I am in the process of perusing their site.
Thank you to Whisper and The Roar for sharing my work.

Not Just My Verse, Your Two Two Too! Created by Rory of A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepip! Please do remember to include the ping back, otherwise l lose track of the verse and your additions, cheers.
NB: If the poem goes unanswered from a Tagged Blogger for more than three days, l will collect it back and re-tag a new writer.
Welcome to ….
Not Just My Verse, Your Two Two Too!
I will choose a topic, write four lines of Rhyming Verse then l will tag one of my readers who will in turn add four lines of Rhyming Verse to my mine and Tag one of their own readers, and then it is a case of wash rinse repeat and let’s see how far our topic goes in so far as a Rhyme?
Once the poem [Verse] leaves my blog, the next blogger along can take it where ever they want with regards their own four line verse but always staying on topic.
The day is as long, as the night is young,
Four more lines of verse, to make another rhyme,
What topic shall we do to have some fun..
Ooooh l know …
Ode To The Insomniac!
Why do evade me so? It makes for no sense,
In truth, to do so unkindly and unwarranted, is nonsense!
I have tried counting all sorts, from stars to wide eyed sheep!
Yet still you , yes you decline me shut eye and valuable sleep!
On my shoulders
carrying the weight
left dying at my feet
staring into the mirror
what can I say?
You haunt me
I want to walk forward
forge a path
but there you are
foiling my way.
watch starlight dance across the sky
take a deep breath
you pass me by
I wish you happiness
while I sink to my knees
one after another
I need to be free…..
free of pain
Bend not before my grave
no salve for your conscience.
threaded black and blue
you might hit me
slaughtering my soul
my sweet prince.
Come just a little closer
feel that blade slip between your ribs.
Fall to knees
should have told you
I am a psychopath.
Peter over at Little Fears reached out to me recently and asked if I would be interested in doing a poem for him which fit in with his Little Fears Concept. This is that poem. Hope you enjoy and if you haven’t already go say hello to Peter.
