Assassin Of…..

I try
I cry
I reach out
helpless to stop
paralyzed with fear
chains of your amusement
tighten with each step
every attempt to flee.
Your voice
velvet wrapped steel
caresses
removes
seduces
my better senses
stripping me
morals
values
steeping me in black sin
corrupted
I have become.
Hang my head in shame
I have given up
I have fallen…..
on my knees
supplication
reptilian tongue
slicing the air next to me.
Slithering through the shadows
unable to encroach
manipulating from the darkness
until all in the light have fallen.
silent blade through my heart
baritone chuckles
penetrating
acid eating
there is no more
for I am……
consumed within
fires of hell
succubus I have become.
Heart has hardened
blackened through
with a single touch
I will soul kill you.

Dearly Behated

Dearly beloved
we have all gathered here today…..
Oh wait
you did not gather?
How then do you come to be here?
Smart.
Yes
you thought you were so smart
none would realize
seduction of the mother
grooming of the daughter
slaughter of their souls.
Snake in the grass
fatal venom
(not poisonous)
a slow black death
consuming one
draining one
devouring beauty
radiance
perverting
sweet innocence.
Ah yes
called you I did
fool that you were
you came
running as it were.
Each friend
scored
seared
ate away a small part of me
self worth
belief of self
me……
Love came to me
bottled
rolled
snorted
how else to escape the howling demons
seated
place of prominence
forefront of all thoughts
pernicious bastards
devouring my heart.
Sit you down
clamp down on your tongue
screaming is not allowed
watch watch watch
the knife is waiting
make a sound.
The first time you sold (soiled) me
beaten before and after
made to deal
with heartache
with screaming agony
with piercing horror
became the cobblestone
laid upon the grid of guilt
of a pathway leading us to here
the ultimate….
All roads end here
upon the crossroads of choice
where now you shall face
you shall bear
demons of hate
feasting upon your fear
your pain.
Dearly beloved
gather here we did
not for beauty
not for love
for resolution
of a burning of rage.

Untitled Picture Prompt Poem #12

Tic Tock…..
Tic Tock…..
can you hear the clock?
Bells tolling?
Hours
minutes
seconds
constant clamour
agony
pierced to the core
what is to come?
Ebony shadows
trick of the eyes
brain creating
planting ideas
what is not there
what is
peering
scared
terrified
what awaits on the other side?
Despondent
on your knees
tears on stained face
begging
beseeching
bargaining
with old gods
with new gods
to take away the voices
to take away the pain.
Wings envelope
voices
waning
mere whispers
a brushing of the wind
against your face.
Look to your saviour
your deliverer.
Howling revulsion
raucous laughter
arrowing
cold
heartless
to your very essence.
Embodiment
all your worst nightmares
free to consume
to haunt
to feed upon you.

Patience

You know I am here.
Sitting.
Waiting.
Patient.
A time will come
when you shall falter
and I…..
well
I will jump in.
Dark desire
I dance under your  skin.
Twisted need
I am the fire in your eyes.
Wanton thirst
I am the blemish on your soul.
Your self-hatred.
Your doubt.
Your history.
I am the one…..
Me…..
I hold the key to you
only though
if you let me out to play.
Black rage
bottled up
close to boiling point
growl in dismay
you know
oh yes you do
you know I will get out.
Ah
here we go again.
You drink.
You get drunk
You allow me a peek
small glimmer
taste dew tinged air
before you reclaim
take back
your inner space.
I am…..
Nightmares made real.
Riding.
Surfing.
Bumping into your barrier.
I could thump away
kick
scream
try to escape
only to heighten
tighten
your grip on me.
There is no substitute for patience.
With patience comes complacency.
With complacency comes a weakening.
With weakening I shall…..
Terrorize.
Torment.
Torture.
With weakening
I shall break free
never fear
I am always waiting here.

Clickity Clack

***This poem was inspired by the photo prompt on The Haunted Wordsmiths’s Fiction Prompt-June 1***

Clickity clack
don’t look back
you never know
what it is you will see.
Warned you were
more than once
to not walk these streets
alone
at night
within the dark pools of light.
Clickity clack
don’t look back
you can hear
can you not
the blade drawing near?
Beads of sweat
glisten at your brow
your breath
hitched
caught in fear.
Clickity clack
don’t look back
danger is near
hot breath
on your neck.
Screams of terror
eaten by the night
no one can hear
and if they did
no one would care
for you knew.
Clickity clack
don’t look back
tempted fate you did
falling prey to the culling knife
pretty pretty girl
warned you were.

Prayers Unheard

Tides ebb
tides neap
calling to the dead
calling to the living
messages left by deities
long gone
long vanquished
long aborted
by the modern world.
Do you hear them?
Or….
Are you blind
are you deaf
are you hiding behind the mundane
like everyone else?
Words
warped
twisted
made to feel
if not like the others
there is something wrong
there is something deformed
there is something awry……
It is not me
in reality it is you.
I would wager a guess
you have no idea…..
wilful ignorance
may seem best.
Head in the sand like the ostrich.
Only know…..
being obtuse
afraid to take a stand
lead to the last elimination
of gods
of rich men.
Devastation.
Lands Flooded.
Waterways dried up.
No longer can you look the other way.
Hell on Earth
reality.

Freedom

Speeding down the road
top down
music blaring
running as fast as I can
from the pain
from the anger
from the rage.
Black pit
waiting
yawning
chasm deep
endless fall
turbulent.
Assailed
all sides
emotions
hurling at me so fast
I am unable to reconcile.
Where…..
what….
is the problem I run from?
I cannot find.
My mind is cloudy
my heart is closing
my mouth sealed
this way
misery contained.
Seeking sunshine
salt air
warm water
to surround myself
caress myself
lose myself
in acceptance.
Time has come
to clear
sweep
destroy
cobwebs lingering
embracing
truth
love
and self.
