Bog Monster

Lilting
on the air
love song
gentle dream.
Golden hours
long slippery nights
time in a bubble
a desire
a love affair
ever so rare
or so I thought.
Woven fantasies
spoken
dreams created
wisps of smoke
waiting
wanting
spoke to me
of fairy tales.
Always wanted my fairy prince
my knight in shining armour
my king
to lay with queenly self
to call forth passion
to ease the inner ache
I constantly feel.
I would like to know
within the multitude of frogs I have kissed
have you any advice
what do I need to change
so y’all will stay in the swamp?

Word of the Day Challenge #78-Untitled Poem

It began innocently
a conversation
getting to know you
getting to know me
were we compatible
would we fit?
Scared…..
I was.
Pain still lingered in my heart
covered with shattered glass
I would not let you near
would not let you feel me
hiding my face from your glance.
Illusion
all I allowed you to find.
Words
soft
sweet
whispered in my ear
whispered against my skin
your hand covered mine own
pulled me close
lip to lip
you shut me up.
A single kiss
reaching to the depths of my soul
igniting a passion
igniting a desire
unlike any I had experienced before.
Pulled close
body to body
you made me…..
beautiful…..
wanted…..
enjoyed…..
Leaving me craving
always craving
more.

Temptress of the Night

Come to me
breath whispered
shiver down the spine
tears begin to fall
not from sadness
from experiences
bodily sensations
climbing
spiralling
taking us over the edge.
Trust
coursing through
eyes languid
come hither
body sparkling with dew
drag nails
back arched
play with me.
Catch me as I fall.
Arms wrapped around tight
warmth of your body
my midnight flight.
Dreams
fantasy
all collide
as with your guidance
I grow.
Blinders lost
reveling in this nature
running deep
a passion untapped
a force…..

Burning Desire

Beneath arched star spackled skies

laying entangled

languid

talk about everything

nothing

head upon your chest

steady beat of your heart

warmth of our bodies together.

You brush fingers through my hair

breath caught in my throat

I tremble.

Cup my cheek

thumb tracing my lip

I look up

see you smile

the crinkle of your eyes

electric bursts

flare through my body.

Amorous

I pull you near

melding into one

beneath the arched

star spackled sky

wrapped in our burning desires.

Premature Love

Laying side by side

hands entwined

you pretend not to notice the tears

that caress my cheeks.

I wonder what is wrong

where is it that I fail you

even when you tell me

that we will be alright.

Time and time again

no matter how slowly I move

no matter how much time I take

you are premature

and I am late.

I wish that just for once

we could be together

at the same time

in the same moment

eyes locked

lips close

breathe intermingled.

I lay awake listening to you breath

my heart breaking in two

our love is never going to match

and I should abandon all hope now.
