I swear Loki said mom yesterday. Everyone says I am crazy but I knows what I hear.
The whole incident started when he went to the top of the stairs and stood there crying. And crying. And crying.
Finally I could take no more. I got up and went to the stairs. Looking up I could not figure out what so intrigued him. We have a really high ceiling in the foyer. So when Loki cries it echoes. Loudly. And piercingly.
This cry that he has. Is like a narrow needle of screeching that drives right through your eardrum and skitters down your spine making everything hurt. I cringe when he ramps it up.
I ask him what he is looking at. He merrowes me. Looks up. So I look up. And realize that the black speck that I had though was a piece of dust in fact was a fly. Which seemed to realize that it was tormenting Loki. And hopped around. And then flew over to the next wall. Still all the way up there.
Loki finally came down the stairs to me. Turned. Looked up at me with his big sad wide eyes and says…..mom.
Picture is my own
Loki. He is adorable. When he behaves. When he listens. Today well today he was told he was a very very bad boy. He knew he was in trouble as he flew into my room and hid under the bed. I closed the door thus giving him a time out.
What was it that he had done that was so dastardly? He chewed on the new charger cord that I bought for my phone. I had gone to the Bell MTS store and picked up a cord specific to my phone. I thought that the port was loose as the other charger I had was slow charging. Turns out he had eaten that one too.
So I have bought another charger. This one from work for $8.99 and it works wonderfully. I shook it at Loki and told him to stay away.
Also yesterday he knocked over one of my plants again. He ran and sat on the carpet outside my room. And watched me clean up. When I stood up he ran into the bedroom and of course I closed the door. Once I calmed down I let him back out. He came running over and jumped up on the couch with me. Curled up and went to sleep.
Today when I opened the door he slunk out and went to eat. After, he sat down over by the window looking up and whined. The plants were in the sunshine and rather sternly I said: Loki do not even start. Get over here and lay down now.
And he did. He is sleeping now on the cat tree and Thomas is asleep next to me. It was my Sunday to work and now I am going to make myself a plate of chicken and a salad. Wait up for T and see how the weekend went. And Friday.
