Judge Jury Executioner

I bled for you
silent war
waged
voices raised
raucous screams
gun fire
head down
race the streets
blood flowing
no time
forever gone
to turn tide
too late…..
nightmares
faces seared from memory
hands groping
victim made
victim no more.
Placed in my hand
outstretched
grenade
rictus stretched
insanity behind the eyes
brought forth
cackle harsh
run
run
I will still have my fun
I will wait for you my love
and you
and you
for I will find
each
everyone
bullied
beaten
raped with words
with venomous intent
with parts of body
left me behind…..
death would have been welcome
death would have been sweet succor
death would have been not my way out.

To be continued…..

Emmie’s Untitled Poem #6

Rain spattered
watch drops race
outside the pane
cold
winter wind blowing
can feel the cold
it settles
over home
over body
over child
removing from here
how to withstand
the degredation
the pain
that is forced upon such a tiny body
blood coursing
eyes blank
not in death
far gone
settled with dragons to protect
kings to slay
queens who nurture
care
tiny princess loved
not neglected poverty
this one faces.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Blackness rushes in
gone
delve into her mind
locked behind steel
teasing the truth
from convoluted truths
no one knew
no one  could protect
no one tried to save
she lost
broken
no more pain
no more emotion
she protects
the small one
still deep within
eyes shuttered
ears stuffed with cotton
hearing no words of care
hearing only
never ending scream
of her own mind.
